I’ve been wanting to go to National Museum of Fine Arts since last year but I was always too busy or my friends are so our plans always become “drawing”. But then, I dunno what got into me but I decided to go to National Museum on the 3rd of January, crossing off one thing from my 2018 bucket list π
I just commuted on my way there and when I got off from the jeepney, the adventure began. I was only relying on my phone ( google maps hehe) ‘coz I’m not really familiar with the streets of Manila. I walked and asked guards and some staff just to find the entrance!!! Good thing I found it hehe, I was kind of scared to go in at first because it was already 4 pm and the museum closes at 5 pm. I thought there wouldn’t be visitors inside but I was able to brush off that nervousness when I found out that there’s still some visitors, so I went in.
I roamed around and went for a tour, admiring the paintings and sculptures that can be found. Even though I am not good when it comes to painting and similar things to that, I still love appreciating these forms of art. It was a peaceful for me, I was able to go around, tried to analyze the paintings (though I know I am not that good when it comes to comprehending paintings hehe) , and there’s some artworks that really caught my attention.

Too bad I wasn’t able to get the titles of those artworks π I was too preoccupied with looking at the paintings (also the time ‘coz they might close anytime soon.) I was only able to tour the first floor, I don’t know if the floors above can also be toured? (Someone enlighten me please.) I was too shy to ask hehe and I was also running out of time. An hour wasn’t enough for me just to tour the ground floor yet I still felt like I rushed my stay there. So I’ll make sure that I’ll come back, hopefully I am with someone na ‘coz I am too shy to take pictures alone HAHAHA.
Here are the artworks that I liked :

There’s also a moment that I was too scared to go inside the room especially if it’s a room full of sculptures. It’s kind of scary for me knowing that I am alone hehe and a statue might move so ayon HAHAHAHA. I waited until some would go inside.

Going there alone made me feel like I would be able to go to much farther places alone. Simple steps matter di ba? Somehow, it also gave me a sense of fulfillment that I can do things on my own. I hope that I’d be able to go to other museums before this year ends!!!

Lastly, here’s a portrait of our National Hero. I also planned to go to Luneta Park (across National Museum) but then, my phone battery died and I might not be able to go home ( because I need Google Maps talaga), so I decided to take my leave. It was a fun experience and I hope you guys would try to visit there!!!
[I don’t know if it is only me but I still believe that we can still be the hope of our country.]
